QIRX Remote: Some Experience

Here I want to share my experience of the QIRX Remote with few wireless devices. I will restrict myself to the issue of whether a smooth, click-free audio has been received or not.

Apple iPhone8, IOS Version 16.7.10

I could listen only to the device's speaker output, as I do not own wireless earpods.
The quality is good, no clicks or glitches can be heard in the audio. All smooth and continuous.
I also made tests to forward the audio via Bluetooth from the iPhone to my stereo equipment. My problem was that the WiFi power seemed too weak. After having installed a WiFi reapeater, the situation was satisfactory. The Bluetooth forwarding to a BT receiver with an analog output seems to be a decent possibility to enter the analog world.

Apple iPad 5th Generation, IOS Version 16.7.10

This device still got a standard input jack for wire headphones. I am using a SONY MDR-51, which prodces an amazing sound, and can rarely be found at ebay, at equally amazing prices.
The quality is excellent, no clicks or glitches can be heard in the audio. Nothing reminds of the rather complicated technology behind the outstanding quality when listening to e.g. DAB+ audio with 144ksps. No clicks or losses, even after a longer time of listening (more than 30 minutes uninterrupted). This is as I had expected it to be. A disadvantage is that the music stops when the screen goes black. Thus, I always let the screen on. Commercial audio streaming sites do not show this behavior, I am still searching for a solution.
When using the QIRX Remote to provide music while surfing the web at the same time, or working with other apps, the IOS offers the "split screen" possiblity working very well for this sort of application. Here, the audio still goes seamlessly without interruptions. As a result, most of the time I am using the iPad as the mobile device for QIRX Remote.

Xiaomi Redmi A3, Android V14, purchased for testing the software

Thankfully, this device still got a standard audio jack for my SONY headphones.
Maybe I am not yet familiar enough with the (for me new) device, but often there are clicks and dropouts in the audio stream. The smartphone offers more than one browser, both can run simultaneously, and for me it was not always simple to know what pages are active and how to get rid of them. I was using Google's Chrome browser.
The audio continues if the screen goes black, but it has an influence on the clicks and dropouts. As a result I set the display timeout to the maximum of 30 minutes, resulting in an acceptable continuity of the audio, with occasional clicks and dropouts. But the overall robustness of the audio seems less than the one of the Apple devices.

Apple iPad Mini, IOS Version 9.3.6

Although responding with the "Welcome" screen of QIRX Remote, it refused to handle the "Receiver" menu properly. The "Demodulator" menu didn't even show a reaction.
Obviously, a device from the stone-age (from about 10 years ago). A pity, as it has got a nice form factor.
